The main domination of the town is castle Loket. The collection of tinny and porcelain products are at the castle. Town is situated around the castle. Robicska and Prasna gates are observed from the originally rampart.

Castle Loket
The castle was established during the 3th quarter of 12th century during government of king Vladislav II. The reason for the build-up of the fort was the diffusion of German’s clerks, who occupied part of Sedlecko from both side of border. Loket`s town council ask for the rebuild the part of old town to town prison. Builder Leistner started to realized it in year 1797, it was finished in year 1822 and it was the prison till year 1949.
Castle Loket is town`s monumental reservation from year 1950 Castle is open:
November – March Monday – Sunday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
April – October Monday – Sunday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Museum of book binding - The city of Loket opened the Museum of Bookbinding in the year 2001 as a permanent exhibit in the Black Tower. Artistic bookbinders and Loket residents, Jan and Jarmila Sobota, were invited to create the museum by former Loket mayor Jan Hadrava. The project had the agreement of the city council and representatives as well as the full support of the current mayor Jiri Kolarik.Web:
